Lost in a Field Frolic Pet-Nat
This release is built from a wider mix of vineyard sources and more aromatic varieties, including a standout 21% Schönburger, a rare heritage grape. After three vintages of refinement, it may be the most expressive Frolic yet. Made with hand-harvested fruit, wild-fermented in stainless steel, and with no added sulphur, the wine is co-fermented and bottled with residual sugar to finish fermentation in the bottle. Aged into early summer, it’s a small-batch, hands-on pét-nat that highlights heritage fruit and precise timing. In the glass, it shows pale coral tones with notes of rose petal, elderflower, strawberry, citrus peel, and quince. Light, gently sparkling, and highly refreshing, with a subtle saline, tonic-like finish.
