Attwood and Sawyer was founded in 1956 in Porthcawl, Wales by Mr Horace Attwood and Mr Sawyer. Many of the designs, now highly collectible, were inspired by historical references, including their most recognisable collection inspired by the jewellery collection of the Duchess of Windsor. Popular in the UK and Europe, they went on to produce the jewellery for the television series Dynasty. Frogs symbolise alertness and readiness, as they always respond to nature's timing. As frogs croak before the rains, they are considered bringers of rain, cleansing, and fertility. The visible changes over the course of their life (from tadpole to frog) make them symbolic of change, adaptability, and rebirth
