Ken Daiginjo The nose on one of the original “OG” exported premium Daiginjo brews is a clean collection of pear, mineral water, lavender, strawberry, melon, and fig aromas. Fukushima Prefecture has won more Gold medals than any other prefecture in the past decade and a half, and this Daiginjo is a perfect example of the formula sake that keeps winning gold. Basically, it drinks flavorfully, clean, with a quick and uplifting finish that is a sake competition judge’s best friend. Round, silky, slippery and dry. Look for Asian pear, powdered sugar, grape, nougat, ginger, and minerals that cut through the palate like a sword aka “Ken” and finishes quick and gone. If you like dry Daiginjo sake, this is your brew. And if you’d like to try a dry Fukushima-style Daiginjo then get your Ken on. -Yamadanishiki rice polished to 40% -Smooth and elegant -Medium Dry -15.9% ABV -Suehiro Brewery located in Fukushima, Japan est. 1850 The gorgeous aroma of melons, pears, and peaches has a very elegant and crisp taste with a beautiful finish.
