Telmo Rodriguez Falcoeira 'A Capilla' 2022

95+/100 RP |The 2022 Falcoeira A Capilla comes from the field blend they planted in 45 terraces at 400 to 600 meters above sea level. It fermented with indigenous yeasts in a 3,000-liter oak vat and matured in a 2,000-liter oak foudre. It has very low alcohol, 12.5%, a pH of 3.9 and 4.54 grams of acidity. It started a little shy and closed but slowly opened in the glass to very elegant and fresh aromas. This is a vineyard that is showing better and better every year, showing the potential of the place. The wine has great complexity, and with patience, it opened up to very complex and subtle aromas. The palate is very fine-boned and elegant with silky tannins. This has to be the finest vintage for this wine so far. 2,975 bottles produced. It was bottled in July 2024.
