A Limited Edition InterMountain Railway Company Bi-Level Auto Rack painted for freelance model railroad Ohio Southern! This Ohio Southern HO-Scale auto rack by InterMountain Model Railroad Company was manufactured exclusively for Home Shops. It is a gorgeous tribute to Jim Hediger’s storied freelance model railroad which was featured in many magazine articles. Sporting silver metal panels and a light-yellow rack on a standard TTGX flat, these cars look sharp! A single panel displays the distinctive staggered-height Ohio Southern lettering while the newer OS “Starburst” logo adds a splash of color on the rack itself. Jim Hediger’s inspiration for his Ohio Southern was Henry Ford’s Detroit Toledo and Ironton Railroad. This car was specially designed to pay tribute to both. We worked with the late Jim Hediger on this car which was modeled after a similar DT&I auto rack. Representing Ohio Southern’s contribution to the national auto rack pool, this car will look great in any vehicle or manifest train!
