Ours offers samples in tiny natural seashells, glued to the sheets. Seashells hold more paint, keep the sheet (and its info) cleaner, and provide a magical painting experience. Paper is 90lb. Arches, and you can select which finish is the best fit for you: hot press, cold press, or rough. Next to each shell there is space for a swatch to be painted over our leaf (leaf is printed to help indicate how transparent a color is at a glance). You have the option to purchase an un-swatched version if you would prefer to fill in the swatches yourself! Each color is labeled with an abundance of information indicating: Color Name Pigment Index Number Series Number Color Line (Main Line, New, Limited Edition, etc.) Pigment Type (natural, historical, synthetic, etc.) Lightfastness Transparency Granulation Variegation Value Range Tinting Strength Staining Hue Category Chroma Dispersion Toxicity Samples include our full line of ~100 colors, including new and limited edition colors.
