Hamilton 6B-9101000 Mark XI RAF Issue Wristwatch.
The Watch . Referred to as the “Hamilton MK11” by Collectors mainly as these were manufactured for the MoD to the same specification as the MK11's from IWC & JLC apart from these not having the hacking feature. . Only around 3200 of these Watches were delivered to the RAF, making these a fairly uncommon find compared to the 9000 IWC's. . The Specs Age: c1960s. Reference: 6B-9101000. Movement: Manual wind with Centre Seconds. These Watches do not hack. Calibre: 75. Timekeeping: Good. Service History: Fully Serviced by John Senior Feb 2026. Dial: Tritium Mil Spec Dial. Case: Stainless Steel. Measurements: 36mm. 39mm with Crown. Bezel: Solid. Water Resistant?: No. Hands: Original. Crystal: Correct Possibly Original Acrylic crystal. Crown: Correct Original unsigned Crown. Strap/Bracelet: On a New 18mm Adrimiality Grey Military Style Strap with Steel fixtures. Lug Width: 17mm Getting Acquainted . Bits that stand out: - One of only 3200 Issued. - Very Nice Condition. - Issued to a RAF Pilot. -Dial has aged beautifully. . Nitty Gritty: - Some age related scratches and markings to the Case. - Some very minor marks to the Dial around the Tritium. . Overall the 6B is in nice Vintage condition. The Dial is in very nice condition. Steel Case is in good condition. Caseback markings are very nice. Original Crown. Crystal in very good condition. Hands are in good shape. .
