Charlotte's Sweater
Please note that this listing is for a PDF knitting pattern and not the finished sweater. My eleven-year-old daughter requested a trendy, patchwork, oversized sweater, and this is it! While patterns existed, I preferred to fly by the seat of my pants. Happily, it worked out! Fair Warning: This pattern has not been tech edited or test knit like my other patterns. You can knit it as written and get a sweater much like the one shown here or treat it as a recipe for your own fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants sweater. Enjoy! (If you find a mistake, please send me an email!) This sweater is worked in strips, steam/wet blocked and joined with the mattress stitch working from the cast-on edge towards the bind-off. Then the bottom band is picked up and knit in a 2x2 rib. Then the sleeves are picked up and worked in a patchwork design and finally, the button band is worked in a 2x2 rib. Finish the sweater by sewing the buttons opposite the buttonholes. One Size: Finished sweater has 53” bust and is shown on a 28.5” bust with 24.5” of ease. See schematic for more sizing details! Sweater Body Gauge: Approx. 23 sts/18 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch worked flat and blocked Yarn Requirements: I Love This Yarn (100% Acrylic and 355 yds/7 oz. skein) or another worsted weight yarn.
