Size: 100 x 80 cm (39 x 31.5 inches) Medium: Mixed Media on Stretched Canvas Painted during the years of mad cow panic, after hearing a joke about two cows talking to each other: “Are you worried about Mad Cow Disease?” “No, because I’m an airplane.” I liked the absurdity of it. The idea that maybe being a little “mad” is not always a tragedy. Sometimes it is imagination, humour, refusing to behave properly, or simply not taking life too seriously. The cows twist and lean into each other awkwardly, somewhere between confusion and confidence. I left the scratches, splashes, and unstable lines visible because the painting was never meant to feel tidy or sensible. Painted on stretched canvas.
