In Step Carbon AFO – Lateral

The IN STEP Lateral AFO is designed to increase ankle and knee stability when there is mild knee/ankle weakness. The contoured footplate allows for smooth roll over yet enhances knee stability. This design can be utilized with a custom foot orthosis for increased control. The material matrix provides a durable and lightweight design, with a Calf cuff for support. Lateral strut offers a low-profile aspect that fits inside almost any shoe. Easy application, and footplate can be trimmed to fit. Weight Limit is 220lbs. INDICATIONS IN STEP is ideal for patients with: • Excessive plantarflexion during swing phase (secondary to weak dorsiflexors) • Weakness of the pretibial muscles <=3 conditions with no more than mild spasticity, e.g. after stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, neural muscle atrophy, peroneal palsy, etc. PDAC Approved L-Codes: L1951, L1952
