Crochet Class: Beginner Crochet Coaster Class (Class Fee) - Saturday, July 18th, 2pm-3pm

Beginner Crochet Class LEVEL: Beginner PREREQUISITES: No experience required! CLASS DESCRIPTION: This class will introduce all of the basic skills needed to crochet that could lead to a relaxing hobby and many fun projects! While learning these skills, you will be crafting a square coaster. In this class, you will learn how to: Create a slip knot Hold your yarn and crochet hook Make a foundation chain Understand a basic crochet stitch: Single Crochet Count stitches Read a basic crochet pattern Get a start on crocheting a square coaster Already crochet? If you are more of a “wing it” crocheter or want a refresher on basic skills with a teacher, this class might also be helpful! PATTERN: The pattern for the square coaster we will start in this class can be found on page 21 in the book Crochet How by Meghan Fernandes & Lydia Gluck. Purchase of this book is optional. This book will be available for purchase before and after class at a Yarn Market. MATERIALS: Yarn: 1 skein of Malabrigos Rios: DK-weight yarn (color of your choice!). Yarn should be wound prior to class. US H (5mm), Crochet Hook Stitch markers (locking or open) Tapestry needle Crochet How Book (optional) DATE: Saturday, July 18th, 2pm-3pm All materials are available for purchase at A Yarn Market. Please purchase materials and choose yarn color prior to class. We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early to wind your yarn in store, or winding yarn at the store when you purchase beforehand. Classes require a minimum of three participants to be conducted. If fewer than three participants are enrolled, a private lesson may be offered, or the class fee will be credited back to you. No refunds. Please note that missed classes are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. Class dates are contingent upon weather conditions; extreme weather may necessitate rescheduling.
