Vintage E.A. Laboratories Part No. 4060 Signal Light, Air Corps Type C-3A military signaling kit. This original military signal lamp set includes the handheld signal light, original metal carrying case with leather handle, mounted amber lens, three additional removable color filters, original wiring harness, and the factory operating instructions affixed inside the lid. The lamp retains its original General Electric Spotlite bulb and presents as a complete display-worthy example of a scarce Air Corps signaling system. Designed for visual communication and field signaling, the Type C-3A utilized interchangeable colored filters to transmit signals under varying operational conditions. Included with this set are four total lenses/filters: the mounted amber lens plus three additional removable color filters stored with the kit. Condition is vintage and untested. The lamp, case, filters, and wiring show age-related wear consistent with long-term storage. The wiring has cut ends and functionality has not been tested. The metal case exhibits surface wear, oxidation, scratches, and a puncture hole on one side. The leather carry handle shows age and wear but remains attached. The original instruction sheet is still present inside the lid and shows expected age-related discoloration. An excellent piece for military collectors, Air Corps memorabilia enthusiasts, restoration projects, museum displays, reenactment collections, or vintage communications equipment collectors.
