2023 Churchside Chardonnay
VQA Prince Edward County White florals, Anjou pear glazed in syrup, hazelnuts, and warm spice dance on the nose. Flinty limestone rises as you swirl, unmistakably PEC. The palate is dense, layered with white fruits, spice, and subtle nutty tones, all lifted by bright acidity. The finish is complex and carries the fruit and lingering nuttiness, framed by County elegance and a long, persistent length. Sourced entirely form the Churchside vineyard. Whole cluster pressed. Fermented in 100% French oak barrels, 20% new 500L puncheons. Wine went through full malolactic fermentation in barrel. Food Pairings: Enjoy with grilled lobster with drawn butter, roasted farmhouse chicken, baked brie with apricot purée, or wild mushroom risotto.
