Lupine, Russell's Formula Mix, Dianthus barbatus - 100 seeds avg. Striking spikes in shades of white, pink, red, peach, yellow, violet-blue, and bicolors. A perennial that can be grown as a cool-season hardy annual for flower production and in warmer climates. Prefers full sun and performs best in climates with cool summers. Winter hardy to zone 4. Grows 24-40” tall. 150-190 days to bloom. Planting Tips: Sowing seeds directly in the garden is recommended. Optional: Before planting, soak seeds in water for 12-24 hours. Cover seeds with soil. Allow 14-21 days to germinate. Thin seedlings to 9-12’’ apart once 5’’ tall. Harvesting Tips: Make the cut at ground level once around ⅓ of the buds at the bottom of the spike have swollen.
