Discover the Magic Stone of Lithography

Saturdays from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM June 20 & 27 + July 11, 18, & 25 If you like to draw, then lithography is the printing process for you. Create, process, and print your own imagery on limestone. No prior experience is required, just a desire to explore the opportunity to translate your drawing skills into print. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn to draw with grease-based materials on limestone, process your stone with simple chemistry, and pull your own prints on a traditional lithography press. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the chemical principles of oil and water repulsion, proper ink manipulation and safe press operation to create a small edition of original hand pulled prints.
