Matured for five years in a combination of first-fill ex-American whiskey casks and 300-litre American virgin oak casks, Octomore 13.4 develops exceptional depth while allowing the character of the barley and Islay provenance to shine. The virgin oak contributes layers of vanilla, toasted coconut, and spice, while the ex-whiskey casks add sweetness and balance to the immense peat influence.
