Domaine Giraud, Chateauneuf Du Pape Grenaches Pierres

As in 2012 (and 2014), the only special cuvée from Giraud is the 2013 Châteauneuf du Pape Cuvée les Grenaches de Pierre. It's still a beautiful wine from a difficult vintage that offers perfumed, complex, Burgundian notes of raspberries, dried flowers, wild strawberries and rose petal. Medium ruby-colored, medium-bodied, finesse-driven and exceedingly elegant, it has good concentration, high quality tannins, and a great finish. Drink bottles over the coming 8-10 years or so.
