White Powder Coat Astatic 200 High-Impedance Harmonica Microphone Vintage 1954 Shure White Label Controlled Reluctance 1954 99H86 435 element Fully Tested and Working You gotta have style to rock one of these full-sized microphones. I use one on stage myself . Blues masters Annie Raines and Shane Sagar use them too. Though it looks big, it’s wonderfully balanced when connected to your cable. The cable rides straight down, and that makes it very comfortable to hold. This is the mod I’m most proud of, and it takes about 4 hours to do all the work. I make only one a year. I’ve taken a 1940’s Astatic Model 200, custom-machined it, and added a Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector. The compact volume control is a Vishay P16 premium model. The entire mic is newly rewired, with a new element gasket. The vintage Shure CR element hails from from 1954. I’ve also added a windscreen behind the grill featuring marine-grade stainless steel mesh and white nylon cloth. This one has good, incredibly hot tone. And it’s cool looking too. Also great in a bar fight. Better than any of the new harp mics available today. Ready to gig! The mic features: – Super Hot 1954 Shure 99H86 element – Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector – 1205 Ohms, High Impedance – Custom stainless steel mesh – Fresh Harley White Powder coat Excellent cosmetic condition.
