Print your own tote bag with prater&stern A blank tote bag becomes your own through colour, ink and a design cut by hand. In this workshop, textile designer Christiane Wery from prater&stern will introduce you to stencil screen printing. You will choose from a curated selection of paper republic and prater&stern motifs, then work with a colour palette inspired by paper republic to create your final design. Christiane will guide you through each stage of the process, from preparing the stencil to printing evenly onto fabric. No previous experience is needed, and you will leave with a finished tote bag as well as the basic skills to continue experimenting with screen printing at home. What you will make and learn Cut your chosen motif into a stencil using a craft knife. Learn how to prepare a screen and work with water-based textile ink. Print your design onto a long-handled organic cotton tote bag. Heat-set the finished print so the bag can be washed and used regularly. Your ticket includes one premium organic cotton tote bag, a choice of curated motifs, all materials required for the workshop and guidance from Christiane throughout the session, one complimentary drink at the la maison café, and 20% off all paper republic products at la maison on the day of the event. when: Wednesday, September 30, 2026 | 14:00 – 17:00 where: la maison, Sonnenfelsgasse 3, 1010 Vienna host: Christiane Wery from prater&stern (@praterundstern) language: English, German or French participants: minimum 6 – maximum 12 experience level: no experience needed About the host prater&stern is a Vienna-based textile studio founded by architect-turned-textile-designer Christiane Wery.
