A 1980 mezzotint by the Japanese artist Kazuhisa Honda (born 1948). Titled Honda Berry, this work depicts round berries growing amidst green leaves against a dark background. Displayed in a black metal frame and a white mat, the print is signed, dated, titled, and numbered 33/50 to the lower edge. Born in Japan, Honda studied at the University of Osaka and in 1974, moved to Paris where he studied printmaking under Stanley Hayter at Atelier 17. Later he studied at the Pratt Graphics Center in New York as well as apprenticing under Yozo Hamuguchi. Measurements: 18” W x 23” H x .75” D (frame); 6.75” W x 11.75” H (plate).
