Cabochon Focal With Tama (Cliff) Swain-Salomon Saturday 10:30 to 1pm (Half Day Class!!) In-Person only $100 for Members $110 for non-members Includes class and materials kit Skill level: strong beginner/intermediate Prerequisite: peyote stitch Description: Make your own cabochon plus a free pattern to use your cabochon in a necklace! In this class you will learn how to make your own cabochon, using a picture of your choice that will be bezeled as the focal of your choice of projects. These pieces make great focals for necklaces, brooches, ornaments, hat pins, or handbag embellishments. This is a great opportunity to highlight your loved ones, your favorite pet, a vacation spot, or any other image you would like to use. You will also learn basic embroidery techniques, including back stitching and how to finish a piece. Kits come with all materials to make the cabochon and embroider it. Which includes almost 100 Swarovski Pearls, precious metal beads, and embroidery supplies. Please bring: an image that is either copied or laser printed on regular paper, about 40mm or larger in size. Please also bring beading tools such as pliers, scissors, beading mat, etc. Other Details: Included with the class are instructions to make a full version of Tama’s Giulietta necklace using the focal you make in class. A limited number of kits to make a full necklace with the free pattern provided will be available for $140 during class. Peyote stitch is a prerequisite.
