About the artwork The design has been adapted from the oil painting 'Schweres Rot (Heavy Red)' by Wassily Kandinsky (1866–1944), founder of The Blauer Reiter group of artists who challenged conventional art ideas. The painting depicts geometric shapes in primary colours, a vibrant expression of the power of colour and form. For Kandinsky Yellow represented excitable energy, Red assertion, and Blue deep, restful and spiritual, and that shapes correspond with colour.
