As any Ryoba saw, it comes with two blades (that’s what Ryoba means in Japanese!): one for cross-cutting and another one for rip cutting. Two saws in one. The inexpensive, replaceable blade means you don’t need to sharpen the saw. Simply unscrew the dull blade and replace with a brand new one. The blades can last for a very long time (months when used daily, years when used sporadically).
