The high polish of the gold beautifully juxtaposes the darkened patina of the oxidized silver cable chain, finished with a diamond toggle clasp that becomes a design element in itself. Oxidized silver carries a beautiful historic aesthetic with roots in Austro Hungarian jewelry traditions, where the darkened patina was prized for the depth and dimension it gave precious metals. The deep charcoal tone provides wonderful contrast against the luminous gold, mixed metals done right.
