Hustling To Be Free - Wall Art

Thankful This piece was created on slab of wood. The Dimensions on the wood slab are 7 3/8 W X 7 7/8H. I drew seasonal leaves for the month of November, and the word thankful for the meaning of thanksgiving. It's hard to find artwork for the month of November. That was my Inspiration for the artwork. It was drawn with a pencil first then I wood burned the background to give it contrast. I painted the leaves with acrylic paint. I used the colors of fall, I ended using a silver flake for the sparkle stars. Finished the artwork with a resign to protect the piece. Yellow Billed Magpie Dimension for frame are 18 5/8W X 15 3/4H. The inspiration for the artwork is a Yellow-billed magpie. I moved to Sacramento from San Francisco, and in San Francisco all you see are pigeons. So, when I moved to Sacramento close to Discovery Park, I saw nothing but yellow-billed magpie. The yellow-billed magpie, also known as the California magpie, is a large corvid that inhabits California's Central Valley. The yellow-billed magpie is a riot of black, white, shimmering blue-green, and yellow. I ended putting the artwork in watercolor paper. I drew the yellow-billed magpie flying so I can showcase how beautiful the bird is. It has a blue background and the yellow-billed magpie is colored with Prisma colors. I placed the artwork on a glass frame, with a yellow border I airbrushed to give it more freedom. Dimensions are 17 13/16W X 17 15/16H. This carved wooden pumpkin was a given to me by a friend of mine. The inspiration on this was to make something original coming out of Old Sacramento I also work in Old Sacramento as a tattoo artist. So is always cool getting something original from a place you're visiting. The way I tackle this project was to draw then wood burn most the inside of the pumpkin, I airbrushed the outside of the pumpkin. I used acrylic for the purple sky and kept the moon with just the wood burn to give it a soft look. The last part was to put Gold leaf around the Old Sacramento Font.
