DUZJAM JabA.1 Roll Top Backpack Built from old military kit and proper Italian hide, the JabA.1 is about as far away from a mass-produced backpack as you can get. The main body is made in-house using deadstock military ripstop canvas reclaimed from an old field tent, paired with heavy Italian leather and solid metal hardware. The original military fabric carries all the marks, fading and character you’d expect from something that has already lived a life — meaning no two bags will ever be quite the same. A large leather front panel gives the JabA.1 its distinctive look, while the roll-top design allows the capacity to be adjusted depending on what you’re carrying, with room for up to approximately 25 litres. Inside, there’s a useful internal pocket for keeping smaller essentials separate, while the back features fully adjustable leather shoulder straps. We’ve also added a sturdy hanging/coat-hook strap at the top for chucking it onto a peg when you get home, into the workshop or down the pub. Every JabA.1 is built with the idea that it should look better the more it gets used. The canvas will continue to soften and mark, the leather will develop its own patina, and the whole bag will become increasingly individual to its owner.
