Vintage Palshus (KAS) stentøjsskål. Danmark. 1960’s-1970’s. The bowl has a simple, round form with a terracotta-colored, matte glaze in grey-beige nuances. Palshus was founded in 1948 by sculptor Per Linnemann-Schmidt and his wife Annelise in Sengeløse - the name “Palshus” is composed of their initials (P, A, L, S) and “house”. The workshop is particularly known for its characteristic harebell glaze, a simple monochromatic glaze technique in e.g. brown, olive green and dove blue nuances. Palshus closed in 1972.
