VW T3 T25 water cooled engine

Possibly NOS engine – broken this is a what we believe to be a brand new VW reconditioned engine that has been dropped and then Installed in a Beetle. It was there for many years. We thought it was seized but on removal it turned so I assume the flywheel was rubbing the bell housing. It was not run in the beetle. I don’t know if it was run before that. There are still VW stickers on the block. the case is broken on the front lower lip. it’s been standing 15 years or so sold for parts – it’s an unknown internally. It has oil in it.
