Haifa Calcium Nitrate 15.5-0-0 50lb bag
Haifa Calcium Nitrate 15.5-0-0 for Greenhouse Feeding Haifa Calcium Nitrate 15.5-0-0 is the greenhouse grade of Haifa Cal, a fully water soluble calcium and nitrogen source. The 15.5% nitrogen runs mostly as nitrate, at 14.4% nitrate to 1.1% ammoniacal, alongside 19% calcium. Nitrate feeds fast and keeps calcium moving into new growth, so a greenhouse or indoor crop holds firm cell walls. It dissolves clear and colorless, with only 0.03% insoluble matter, so it runs clean through fertigation lines and stock tanks. Water Soluble Calcium for Fertigation and Foliar Feeding As a water soluble calcium fertilizer, it works through fertigation or as a foliar feed on greenhouse and soilless crops. Steady calcium is what heads off blossom end rot in tomato and pepper and tip burn in lettuce. Most growers run it in its own stock tank, kept apart from phosphates and sulfates that would drop calcium out of solution. That keeps the feed clean whether the crop sits on a greenhouse bench, in an indoor garden, or in an open field.
