Heather Paperweight

A handmade paperweight with heather encapsulated in a resin shell. Preserved perfectly and permanently. Heather is a defining feature of the Cairngorms National Park, covering vast expanses of moorland and peatland in shades of purple and pink, particularly in late summer. It acts as a vital habitat for local wildlife and is synonymous with the Highland landscape. The flowers and seedheads within these paperweights are grown naturally on mountains or in carefully tended gardens. Each specimen is hand picked then dried to preserve their natural beauty. They are cast in clear resin and then individually turned and polished. Each paperweight is a unique one off piece, making it the ideal gift or keepsake. Large: 85mm diameter Small: 65mm diameter
