VB01-VB04 Java “Viking” Beads
Beads approx 17-20mm diameter. Large 3-4mm hole. These glass beads are handmade in Jember, Indonesia on the island of Java. They are made to resemble ancient mosaic beads which, while frequently associated with Viking burials, were most likely made elsewhere in present day Europe or the Middle East, a product of the wide ranging trade networks that existed at the time.
