When Jacob Awoke – accompaniment (PERFORMANCE version)

“When Jacob Awoke” is a mid-tempo, lilting refrain based on the story of Jacob’s dream in Genesis 28:10-22. It is great for outdoor worship, for any time Genesis 28 is in the lectionary, or just as a gathering song. This song works particularly well with guitar. Song leaders are encouraged to repeat “…the gate of heaven.” multiple times at the end, even if the sheet music doesn’t reflect that. This sheet music includes melody, lyrics, guitar chords, and piano accompaniment. Note that this sheet music is for the PERFORMANCE version.
