Nepenthes “Rebecca Soper” (Tropical Pitcher Plant)

A striking carnivorous plant with deep burgundy foliage and dramatic hanging pitchers. ‘Rebecca Soper’ is a vigorous Nepenthes hybrid known for its rich red coloration and elongated pitchers that deepen to burgundy as they mature. You will receive the exact plant pictured. CARE: Provide bright indirect light with some gentle direct sun to encourage strong coloration and pitcher production. Keep the growing medium consistently moist but not waterlogged, using only distilled, rain, or RO water. Moderate/high humidity is preferred, although established plants can adapt to normal household conditions. Grow only in an airy, nutrient-poor medium such as long-fiber sphagnum and perlite - never standard potting soil. No fertilizer is necessary as the pitchers naturally capture insects. If food supply is low, it can be given 2 flakes of fish food in a pitcher 1-2 time/week. Nepenthes are vining plants and can eventually be allowed to trail or given a stake/trellis for support.
