This striking lampshade features Fantail Dance, one of the debut fabric designs by Wellington-based illustrator and artist Jade Ell. Inspired by the birdlife and native flora surrounding her Eastbourne home, Jade's illustration captures the playful energy of the pīwakawaka (fantail) in flight — set against a rich crimson red that makes every detail sing. Each shade is handcrafted by Shades at Grays, bringing together Jade's locally designed artwork and quality lampshade making in a piece that is as much art as it is lighting. Details Fabric: Jade Ell 'Fantail Dance' on crimson red Handcrafted in New Zealand by Shades at Grays 21 sizes available — Empire (tapered) silhouette Suitable for standard lamp fittings Made to order Refer to the size charts in the photos to determine the perfect dimensions for your lampshade. All sizes are numbered for easy selection; for instance, 'Straight sided 15'. Use the drop down menus to make your choice. To order a lampshade in this fabric: In the 1st drop down menu select the style and shape of lampshade - all dimensions are illustrated in the photos. Ceiling lights are best chosen from the straight sided options and most of the tapered shades are only suitable for table or floor stands and are not available for ceiling pendants. In the 2nd drop down menu select whether your lampshade is for a table lamp / floor stand, or to be hung from the ceiling. A guide can be found in the photos. In the 3rd drop down menu select the ring size of the shade frame. The options are either bayonet bulb fitting or screw bulb fitting. (See photo). Have a look at your lamp base or ceiling fitting and check if it takes a bayonet or screw fit bulb. This will guide your decision. If in doubt, select bayonet bulb fitting as this will come with a standard flexible adaptor which can be flipped out to make the bulb holder larger which will then fit a screw bulb. More information.
