A radiant runway piece from the Junya Watanabe Comme des Garçons Fall/Winter 2014 collection. Watanabe said of his offering " Patchwork madness." The enveloping circles build the cocooning jacket silhouette in a smattering of various fibers and textiles for a tactile experience that feels just as dizzying as the visual aspect. Panels of black felt, synthetic fur, sleek nylon, net lace-lined sequins, and colorful boucle adorn the black mesh base creating an appliqué ripple motif. The boucle panels present as swirling shades of midnight blue, deep teal, with hints of black for a slightly over-dyed effect. The black synthetic fur panels are short-pile with high shine. The nylon panels are sleek and reflective. The black circular sequins are affixed to a net lace overlaying the mesh with black felt panels. There are armholes on either side.
