Scandia (6 mol%) Ceria Stabilized Zirconia – Tape Cast Grade Powder
Scandia fully stabilized zirconia (with 6 mol% Sc₂O₃) has the highest oxygen ionic conductivity of zirconia-based ceramic electrolyte materials. It is used as an SOFC electrolyte membrane for improving performance or reducing operating temperature. It also can be used as a component in high performance composite cathodes or cermet anodes. ScSZ6 has a higher ionic conductivity than yttrium stabilized zirconia YSZ-8). The characteristics of this ScSZ powder make it well suited for use in tape casting, ink formulation, pellet pressing and other ceramic manufacturing processes.
