Hammered 9ct gold stacking ring with ruby
The design is intentionally delicate. A hammered gold band paired with a bezel-set ruby, allowing the stone to take centre stage. Rubies have been treasured for centuries and it’s easy to see why. Their rich red colour has long been associated with love, passion and celebration. This particular ring feels like the sort of piece that marks an important moment. A birthday, an anniversary, a personal achievement, or simply a reminder that life’s milestones deserve celebrating. July babies are fortunate enough to call ruby their birthstone, and I can think of few lovelier ways to wear one. This ring is currently a size O but can be made to order in any size. This piece is part of my 52 Ring Project, a personal challenge inspired by rediscovering a long-forgotten collection of gemstones. After moving to Dorset, I unpacked two boxes of stones that had remained untouched for several years — some of which I have owned for over fifteen years. After carefully sorting and organising them by type, size and colour, I decided to bring them back into use by creating one ring each week over the course of a year. Each ring in the collection is made using a different gemstone, giving every piece its own character and story.
