SAIL AWAY (Original)

Sail Away is a large-scale glass and stainless steel sculpture by Carrie-Anne Funnell, bringing together sweeping sculptural form with richly layered colour and light. The two sail-like structures rise through the composition with a strong sense of movement, their curved stainless steel edges framing the glass and giving the piece a clean, contemporary finish. Layers of blue, turquoise and aqua glass create depth across the surface, with changing light bringing out different tones, reflections and textures throughout the day. The combination of glass and stainless steel gives Sail Away both presence and openness, allowing it to sit naturally within landscaped gardens and architectural settings without feeling visually heavy. At 2.5 metres high, the sculpture creates a striking focal point while retaining the fluidity and elegance that define Carrie-Anne’s larger glass works.
