Antique Circa 1870's Bloodstone Signet Ring

A most fabulous Gothic Revival styled antique Bloodstone signet ring dating to the 1870's or so and capturing a mood much revered. The shield shape calls an heraldic vibe and the exquisitely shaped shoulders; which are finely hand engraved, all casts an historical spell... Unfortunately we're unable to alter the size due to the hollow construction used at the time. Stones: Bloodstone (Heliothrope). Dark foresty green Chalcedony Agate beautifully speckled with red Iron Oxide. Metal: 15ct Gold (tested but unmarked) of a hollow construction over pitch. Ring Size: L and a half or 6 as is and is unsuitable for alteration. In most cases the boxes are for display only but a nice quality modern reproduction box will accompany this piece.
