Hacienda San Isidro Labrador is a prestigious estate in Costa Rica. Since beginning coffee cultivation in 2015, the producer, Joel, has worked alongside his son, Matias, to produce coffee. They cultivate their coffee by leveraging the region's unique characteristics—such as high average annual humidity (80%) and clay-rich soil—while carefully selecting processing methods tailored to each specific variety. Seeking to showcase their farm on a larger stage, Joel began participating in the Cup of Excellence (COE)—an international competition for specialty coffee—in 2020. They achieved outstanding results, placing first in 2023 and second in 2024, and have continued to secure top rankings since. --- It features floral notes reminiscent of roses, accompanied by fruit flavors like cherry and nectarine.
