This is a striking Turkish Konya-Kazak Vintage hand-knotted rug. This style is famous for blending traditional Caucasian geometric patterns with a weaving technique of Central Anatolia. The original label and it’s original price of $4,700 is still in tact suggesting this carpet has not had much wear. It features a prominent triple-medallion central field. The primary green panel encloses geometric diamond motifs, flanked by multi-layered tribal borders filled with bold geometric rosettes and star icons. While historical Kazak designs originate in the South Caucasus mountains, "Konya-Kazak" pieces are hand-knotted by specialized weavers in the Konya region of Turkey who faithfully recreate these iconic tribal geometries In good condition with no obvious tears, rips, discolouration.
