Pit Vegetable Full Tanned Shrunken Horse Hide Double Riders - Black

A leather with a striking appearance defined by natural scars and a pebbled texture; it offers a rugged, substantial feel while prioritizing comfort. Uses genuine leather made from raw horsehides that have been tannin-tanned in pit vats in Japan. Leveraging the unique characteristics of heavily scarred horsehide, we use only the most scarred hides and subject them to a full-tannin tanning process in pit vats over an extended period of approximately three months. It is further tumbled with the application of heat, shrinking it to half its original size (from 2m to 1m) and creating a striking appearance characterized by surface scratches and a distinctive pebbled texture. While the full-tannin finish gives it a rugged, substantial appearance, the leather is infused with a generous amount of oil to ensure elasticity and suppleness, prioritizing comfort when worn. LEATHER MODEL ID: HI-FLYER The HI-FLYER double rider's jacket features vintage-inspired details and a distinctive, unconventional pocket layout, along with carefully crafted functional elements such as a stand-up collar designed to block the wind. Inspired by vintage styles, studs from American Standard are attached to both ends of the zipper. A zippered pocket featuring metal accents at both ends is positioned on the inner placket. There is a lapel on the inside of the upper collar; by fully closing the front and fastening the lapel, it can serve as a wind guard. Gussets under the arms ensure a wide range of arm movement. The zipper is manufactured by the Italian company Raccagni. Its smooth operation and exceptional durability reflect the exquisite craftsmanship characteristic of Raccagni, a company with a long history of producing high-quality zippers. Metal components that add a touch of elegant luster to the rugged aesthetic harmonize with the texture of the leather, elevating the level of perfection down to the finest detail. For the sleeve lining, we use a polyester material to ensure smooth movement when putting the garment on, while the body lining is made of high-quality cotton satin—a fabric typically used for outer layers—to ensure durability.
