Pesto Genovese Sauce Servings

Our Pesto Genovese is made in the style of the classic Ligurian recipe from Genoa. Prepared raw, as it is at home, it’s blended to be clean, balanced, and true to its origins. The word pesto comes from pestare, “to pound,” referring to the traditional way pesto was made. When prepared fresh, pesto isn’t cooked; the only heat it ever receives is from the pasta in the pan it’s finished in. That principle guides how we make ours. Rather than heating for shelf stability, we freeze our pesto to preserve the integrity of the ingredients.
