The Leupold BX-1 McKenzie HD 12x50 Binoculars are a good beginning binocular for long distance and low light use. Their optics are built around Leupold's Advanced Optical System which includes calcium-fluoride objective lenses that provide improved light transmission, glare reduction in difficult lighting conditions, and excellent clarity for its class. The 12x50 has a 241' field of view at 1000 yards and a close focus of 8.2'. The chassis is waterproof and nitrogen purged.
