Antique Oak Welsh Dresser c.1910
A golden oak welsh dresser dating to the early part of the 20th century. It features a classic outward sweeping molded cornice with three open tiered display shelves. The decorative scalloped frieze elements beneath the shelves provide traditional country-house character. The lower section has two deep storage drawers featuring geometric panel moldings on the fronts and original brass swing drop handles. The base sits on elegantly turned front legs and straight block back legs, supporting an open, traditional lower potboard shelf historically used to hold large kitchen platters or milk churns. The piece is made entirely from solid English oak which has lovely golden colour and is in good original condition. Height - 196cm Width - 137cm Depth - 55.5cm
