Meyer-Näkel 2021 Estate Spätburgunder QbA dry
This Spätburgunder is a typically traditional Pinot Noir from the Ahr region. It has rich berry aromas like blackberry, blueberry and raspberry as well as ripe cherries, strawberries and blackberries with spicy hints of juniper and laurels. A smooth dry red wine it has an elegant tannin structure and good substance. Grapes were selected by hand and gently pressed. The wine matured in old oak barrels. The Ahr vineyard that produced the grapes for this wine has soil rich in slate and greywacke decomposition stone. Food recommendation: This wine pairs well with poultry, light meat, pasta and mushroom dishes. It's also the perfect companion to spicy grilled meat or fish dishes.
