Great RPPC family photos: 2 sets of parents and 3 children (2 boys & 1 girl) with bicycles on a cement bridge(?). In background early town buildings. Based on surroundings, most likely Haileybury and not Cobalt. On back, photographer ‘J. P. BEAUVAIS. HAILEYBURY & COBALT.’ ‘AZO’ photographic paper dates it to 1904-1918. Rough condition. Staining on back,. Diagonal cracks. The houses behind the group: Are uniformly residential, not commercial Sit on gentle rising ground Lack the false-front commercial architecture typical of Cobalt’s main streets Show no mine-related structures This points to Haileybury. J. P. Beauvais was a local commercial photographer active in Haileybury and Cobalt during the Temiskaming silver‑rush era (circa 1905–1915). He produced real‑photo postcards (RPPCs) documenting early mining camps, street scenes, and the rapid development of the towns along the T.&N.O. Railway. However, no authoritative source in the search results provides a formal biography or studio history for Beauvais
