Newell A-Style Mandolin Red Spruce/Red Maple (2008) - Used

The Newell 2008 A-style mandolin has a Red spruce top, red maple back sides and neck. It has tortoise binding, Grover tuners, bone nut, carbon fiber neck rod (unadjustable), radiused ebony fretboard, custom bridge with carbon fiber in center, custom stainless steel tailpiece, and Mother of Pearl fret markers and logo. Finish is blackface in oil varnish. The top is done with stain and shows the wood grain faintly through the finish. This is an awesome Keith Newell mandolin. Keith was a talented builder who passed away, so very few of his instruments come available. This one is in great shape, plays exceptionally well, and has a bark.
