Lange & Söhne: the 1815 Moon Phase “Hommage à Emil Lange” Ref. 231.031, produced in a limited edition of just 250 pieces in 18k pink gold. Introduced in 1999 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Emil Lange’s birth, this rare neo-vintage Lange pairs a beautifully proportioned 36mm pink gold case with a striking black dial depicting the Big Dipper constellation, star-shaped hour markers and a moon-phase display integrated into the night sky. Powered by the manually wound Calibre L943.1, developed specifically for this limited edition, the Ref. 231.031 captures the creativity, craftsmanship and remarkably small production of A. Lange & Söhne’s formative years following its historic revival.
