Black and Gold Porcelain Mallet Vase

Cobalt Guild offers an assortment of blue and white porcelain vessels from the antiques markets of Jingdezhen, a town long distinguished by imperial patronage. This vintage piece, available in limited quantity and with minor indications of wear, is a porcelain vase with landscape motifs. 10 1/2" x 24”. The vase style is reminiscent of Qing "mirror black" wares. Gold-decorated mirror-black ceramics have been popular as mimics for black lacquer decorated with gold.
